Air Release Valves
An Air Release Valve, or Air Relief Valve, are used to release the air pockets that collect at every high point in a full pressured pipeline, typically for dripline applications.
As air rises, once turned on, the ARV will open against the internal pressure and allow for consistent watering through the drippers, rather than air bubbles blocking water ways and manage pipeline efficiency.
For dripline applications, we recommend using an Air Release Valve Kit, which conveniently includes a 19mm or 13mm LDPE Threaded Tee piece to install into your poly main in drip applications.
