The Aquaguard is a basic backflow prevention device which must be installed at least 150mm above ground, installation is to be at least 450mm above the nearest irrigation outlet.
The device should not be subjected to continuous static mains pressure for more than 12 hours. For dripline directly from the tap, automated by a timer, please install after the timer, before the Pressure Reducing Valve.
For backflow prevention used in an automatically controlled mains irrigation system, we recommend the Brass Dual Check Valve or we've also put together a full Backflow Prevention Kit which includes another valve, to install on a tee piece behind your tap, for your convenience.
Thread is 1" (25mm) female inlet to 1" male outlet.
