The 7101BT controller is compatible with a dry contact preventing sensor.  When the controller is connected to a rain sensor, irrigation will operate as long as the rain sensor is dry.  When its starts raining the sensor will immediately stop the irrigation from working and the sensor light will show. You can achieve this by cutting the yellow wires (without stripping) and connecting them to the sensor wire with a waterproof connector.

Yes all Galcon controllers can be operated both manually via the face panel or via a smart device.  Instructions on programming and operation are available via the downloadable manuals on our website.

Galcon has a product that suits the 9001BT tap timer that will allow you to irrigate two zones at alternate times. The unique alternator valve allows you to have 2 automatic start times from the one tap or water source.

You can download and install the Galcon.BT app from the iOS App Store or Google Play. The App operates Galcon Bluetooth enabled controllers, models 7101BT and 9001BT. The App is compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 devices (minimum required iOS or Android V4.3).

Galcon web-based or Wi-Fi controllers all have built in web based technology and a WIFI dongle is not necessary. You may operate your Galcon controllers and tap timers manually or via their Bluetooth app.

Effectively one is a controller and the other is a tap timer.  The Galcon 7101BT is a controller as it has an external hydraulic solenoid valve that can be manually operated, is compatible with a rain sensor and capable of 10-100LPM flow rate. The 7101BT is single station only.  The Galcon 9001BT is a tap timer, as it has an internal valve with built in filter and is more suitable for low flow rate applications, capable of only 1-20LPM. Both are a great choice for the small - medium irrigation system. The 9001BT can be turned into a dual-station tap timer using the Galcon Alternator Valve.
